Innovate Durham is here to help you take your business idea forward

Innovate Durham uses the expertise of Teesside University to help you do new things in your business. If you have an idea for a new product or service, or want to improve processes in your business, Innovate Durham can provide extensive business and innovation support, which may include funding to recruit a graduate.

With the support of a dedicated business innovation manager we work with you to understand your business and what you want to achieve. A detailed innovation assessment is carried out to identify potential projects and is used to develop an action plan of support.

How it works

From first conversation to a plan you can act on

01 Meet your innovation manager. We learn how the business runs, where the pressure points are and what you want to change.
02 Complete an innovation assessment. We identify potential projects and set out an action plan of support.
03 Deliver the project. We bring in the right expertise, whether that is consultancy, a graduate placement or help with a funding bid.
